Understanding your window of tolerance

June 24th 10am-1130am PST

Growing your capacity and stress resilience starts with understanding YOUR window of tolerance

Replay will be available for viewing until the end of July 2025

What is the Window of Tolerance?

When you are 'in' your window of tolerance, you feel resilient and have the capacity to deal with life's stressors.

When you are 'out' of your window, you will either move to a hyper-activation or a hypo-activation. In hyper or hypo-activation you become dysregulated - moving into a stress state.

Why should I learn about the window of tolerance?

The window of tolerance is something I teach most my coaching and counselling clients

  1. It gives you awareness of where you are at and how capable you are of responding well in the moment (ideally this helps you understand your own limits and have compassion for yourself along the way)

  2. It gives you strategy of what you need. If you know where you are in the window, you will know what you need to move back to a more effective state

  3. It empowers you. When you grow more self-awareness and tools to go along with it, you then gain more self-control and self-efficacy

  4. It gives you language for what you are experiencing. This is a tool you can use with yourself and your kids. It also helps to recognize that those around you may be at different states in their own windows of tolerance

What I hope you walk away with

from taking this workshop, I hope you leave with

1. Understand what YOUR window of tolerance looks like

2. Learn what moves you out of your window of tolerance

3. Learn how to expand you window of tolerance

4. Create a tool-box of strategies to help you move around the window of tolerance, as you need it
